Upon the Wings of Greater Things

It’s been a long time in the making, but I am proud to present to you the all new website for all things me!

WELCOME TO STARLAHUCHTON.COM!

This is a site I’ve been wanting to create for quite some time now, but life has gotten in the way as it tends to with such endeavors. Regardless, it is here now, and I think it is a thing of loveliness.

About the site:

The graphics and overall site design were created by myself. The initial WordPress structure was designed by John Merlin. All the database and hard work of making everything do what I wanted and be what I wanted was done by my wonderful husband, Scott. He put many hours into this project, and the result is pure awesome. Thanks to both of you for your assistance!

In regards to the page title, “Upon the Wings of Greater Things”, it’s something I’ve thought about a lot. I believe that there is something in the world that uses this human creative process to elevate us to the best of what we are capable of being. Whether we are painting, singing, writing, or making movies, when we are creating we are being carried to new heights. We transcend the everyday dreariness our lives often are and bring something new and beautiful into the world. Some refer to this as a Muse, others try to explain in it more scientific terms. All I can say with certainty is that I am happiest when I am creating and these Greater Things are at the heart of it. These Greater Things are the Things I send into the world, whether they be words or images or the sound of my voice. Every day I feel as though I am simply along for the beautiful flight they are taking; a passenger to their travels.

This is the heart of the website. I have redesigned it to encompass all the Greater Things I send out rather than try to stuff it all into a tiny box that it outgrew long ago. They have wings to spread. Here is an open space for them to fly free.

So welcome to the brand new site. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I do.
