The Super Sixes Are Coming

So, I thought I would need a bit more time with this decision, but I talked to a few folks, got some opinions, and came to a conclusion.

2014 will be the Year of No Queries.

What does that mean? Well, right now, it means that you will see four new books from me, at least. It means I’m not sending out a single query letter to agents or editors. It means I’m keeping my projects in my hands, doing what I want with them, how I want to do it. It’s means no more waiting on answers.

This is not to say I’m giving up entirely on traditional publishing. I’ve only decided to try my hand at going all-in on putting out books on my own, without trying for more than as far as I can reach.

For one year.

Which leads me to the title of this here blog post.

2014 will also be the year of the Super Sixes.

On February 6th, I plan to do the cover reveal for the first book in my superhero series, Evolution: ANGEL. That’s a little over a month from now.

Then, on March 6th (my birthday! Yay!), the first book will go live. You can already add it on Goodreads here.

The second book, Evolution: SAGE, will drop on May 6th, with the last one, Evolution: HEX, waiting in the wings for a July 6th launch.

This series is written, the story arc complete at three books. The covers are already created, waiting to be seen. At this point, all that stands between the world and my superheroes are a few calendar pages.

I wanted to have all three books in print before UtopYA at the end of June, but doing a cool Super Sixes theme didn’t quite match up with that. So, I decided that, for anyone that wants one, I’ll take a few “pre-orders” for book 3 for people going to UtopYA. If you want to see it early, that will be your only chance to get it before the July 6th release date. As I’ve enrolled all my other books in Kindle Matchbook, if you buy a print copy from me in person, I will gift you the ebook copy (in your choice of format) as well.

I’ve talked about these books a lot the past few months, and I know there are some folks really excited to finally see them. Honestly, I’m just as excited to share them. Whether you’re a fan of comic books, of action flicks, of romance novels, or just great stories in general, these books are for you.

I can’t wait to see where the superheroes take me next.
