So, say you’ve listened to The Dreamer’s Thread a time or two, and you’ve found yourself wanting something new. While I can’t (at this time), promise you new fiction from my own pen, I CAN offer you my voice.
You may be wondering what’s been keeping me so busy since the end of the podcast. And while I’m sure you know about my work on Antigone’s Wrath and a few other little projects, you’ll be happy to know that I’ve actually been doing real paid work for the folks over at Darkfire Productions. Today, I am happy to present to you the first podiobook I’ve been a part of through them: The Emperor’s Edge!
As of right now, the first five episodes of The Emperor’s Edge by Lindsay Buroker is live via Podiobooks.com. It’s the first novel in a series and is also available in ebook versions via Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords.com. You can find links to all her fiction (plus excerpts of her work) at her site.
Book blurb:
“Imperial law enforcer Amaranthe Lokdon is good at her job: she can deter thieves and pacify thugs, if not with a blade, then by toppling an eight-foot pile of coffee canisters onto their heads. But when ravaged bodies show up on the waterfront, an arson covers up human sacrifices, and a powerful business coalition plots to kill the emperor, she feels a tad overwhelmed.
Worse, Sicarius, the empire’s most notorious assassin is in town. He’s tied in with the chaos somehow, but Amaranthe would be a fool to cross his path. Unfortunately, her superiors order her to hunt him down. Either they have an unprecedented belief in her skills… or someone wants her dead.”
Sound interesting? Head on over and check it out!
