So, The Chronicles of ISLE, Book 1: Spark is out in the world now (did I forget to mention that here? Whoops. Author fail.) Not only is it live on Amazon, but it’s absolutely a part of the Kindle Unlimited program for those of you who subscribe to that service:
Note: if you haven’t read the Evolution series, it’s highly recommended you do so before beginning this book. You’ll be able to follow the story fine, but there is so much more to understand about this world that you can only learn in detail from the first trilogy!
Also note: this story is NOT for children. Adult situations and mature language are contained therein. (Hence the S. A. Huchton label.)
But now on to today’s news!
For those of you patiently awaiting my next Flipped Fairy Tale, the wait is over! I was originally going to put this out tomorrow, but I may potentially have to leave my house as we’re possibly in the path of Hurricane Joaquin. So, lucky you, today’s the day you get to find out what fairy tale I’m flipping for Ride the Wind!
I decided to do things a little differently this time around, mostly because I think the majority of people might be unfamiliar with this folk tale from Norway. And so, I present you all with a video, wherein I will sit you down for a tale of yore. With the rain and fall weather we’ve got this week, it seemed like a good day for it. In this video, I’ll show you the cover and share a few thoughts with you about this book. And if you make it through to the end, I promise it’ll be worth your while!
So take a look, have a listen, and get ready to Ride the Wind!

First of all, thank you so much for the video and the story. I am excited to see how some of the more “misogynistic” aspects of the story play out. I couldn’t help thinking in the beginning of the tale that all of their issues would have been avoided if he’d just been less cagey about the whole thing and explained that she couldn’t see him for one year… sheesh!

Like I said, I fixed it. LOL
