Wow. So, the cover reveal for Maven was a HUGE success. Like OMG huge. I never expected the level of participation I got with that and the number of eyeballs that ogled my precious astounds me.
I figured since that went so well, why not have even more fun with this book? The squeaky wheels in my brain started turning and here’s what I came up with.
At the end of every year, most people take a moment to reflect on the ups and downs of the past few months. As such, I offer you this song, Count Your Blessings, as a soundtrack for your considerations. It’s a reminder that, no matter how dark the days get, there are always things to be thankful for. Special thanks to my little brother for his amazing musical talents in creating the backing track for this one. Happy holidays and many blessings to you all!

So, my mom has been bugging my brother and I for years to put together some Christmas music for her. This has been her one gift request for… oh, I’ve lost track of how long she’s been asking.
And you know that I’ve put out some holiday tunes in years past, but seemed to drop the ball this year. Well, I didn’t.
It has occurred to me of late that it’s been awhile since I’ve posted on the blog. So I looked tonight and realized it’s been nearly THREE MONTHS since my last posting. Uh… oops.
Things have been quite crazy around here. I’ve been neck deep in the final semester of my Graphic Design degree and it hasn’t left much room for anything else. What little time I do have, has been filled with all the creative projects I can possibly cram into it. This post is a little glimpse into the sort of things I’ve been doing.

If you saw my Twitter feed on Sunday night, you might have noticed the copious amounts of expletives and unexplained freaking out coming from me. I wasn’t in a position to invite the whole world, so I was restricted to random tweets of SQUEE.
We were people watching before heading to the “Get Pissed With The FDO” event, when we came across Alex White. He immediately instructed us to report to his room, where an unnamed big name was holding court.

So this year’s Dragon*Con was… Different.
After hearing my stories from last year, two of my friends decided to give the con thing a shot and come along with us. I was a little nervous that they might be let down. After all, every con is different, and last year’s D*C set the fun standard pretty high.
The result?
I’m still trying to decide where to begin. Each night got exponentially more awesome, so perhaps I’ll only give you the highlights.
I was recently approached by Nicholas Taylor to see if I’d want to be a part of a “holiday book sampler” promotion. Naturally, I jumped at the chance for more (and free!) PR for The Dreamer’s Thread. So here it is, almost December 10th (shy a few minutes), and the sampler has just been released.
It’s that time of year, again. Now that it’s December, holiday cheer is being passed around like a communicable disease and yes, I’ve caught the bug again! Last year, I recorded a selection of Christmas songs and made them downloadable for folks to enjoy. I’m working on some new tunes, but the tail end of a cold is preventing me from recording at this moment, so I’m resharing last year’s files. I’ve got a nice chunk of songs planned for this year (and possibly an internet-melting collaboration, but that one’s under wraps for now!), and as soon as they’re ready you’ll find them here!
