Well, it’s about that time again, folks!
You’ve seen the cover and read the blurb.
You’ve waited on pins and needles to find out what happens after the end of NEMESIS.
The release date for PROGENY is right around the corner!

So, last week Thursday was Talk Like a Pirate Day. Around about eleven p.m., I was sitting around wondering why more people didn’t release pirate-themed books on that day.
And that’s when it hit me. Uh, I have a pirate book. I could potentially do that.

At last posting, I mentioned you should stay tuned for the awesome giveaway I’ll be doing during the blog tour for Nemesis.

Yay! Another book launch day is here!
It feels like only yesterday I was waxing all feminist about getting girl cooties all over sci-fi for Maven’s launch day. Ah, memories. But, you will find none of that here today. I’ve been far too busy getting book 2 ready for all of you wonderful people!
And now… Nemesis is here!
So, I made a decision. With book 2 of the Endure series launching on Monday (you can already order the print version here, BTW!), I decided to give people a little more incentive to give the series a shot. [Read more…]
Yes, folks, in my continuing experimentation in the world of publishing, we have virtual book tour the second! From July 15th through July 22nd, sites around the world wide web will be putting up more stuff about Maven. There’ll be guest posts, a NEW excerpt, and the ever-present Rafflecoptersaurus, where you can win an ebook copy and/or a print version of Maven!
We are halfway through the year, a mere six months. It’s been an amazingly productive time for me, and not only because of having three books done in the Endure series.
If you’ve been watching my Twitter feed or kept an eye on my WIP widgets in the side bar on this site, you know which project I decided to work on after finishing the first draft of Progeny. For NaNoWriMo 2012, I worked on a story that had about 23k words already on it. I talked about this a great deal on the Roundtable Podcast’s 4-writer project for that month, and you can listen to me talk about the premise for Apprentice beginning here. I ended up with an additional 66k+ words for that month, but the story wasn’t finished.

Well, it’s been an exciting week! Maven dropped on Monday and emails have been going in and out of my computer like crazy! Writing the book is not the hard part, but everything after, it would seem. It’s all good stuff coming down the pipe, however, so I’m happy to be as busy as I am. It means I’m doing something right with this series!
A few things first, some links to get out of the way.

Today is the day!
I’ve been bouncing out of my chair for about a week now, overwhelmed, excited, terrified, humbled, grateful… so many things. But IT’S FINALLY HERE!
On May 4th, I put out a call to anyone that had a blog that might be interested in helping me reveal the cover for my upcoming release, MAVEN. I did this thinking I would get a handful of folks that would say yes, maybe, oh, ten, possibly a dozen. I sat back and waited. I saw my friends RT the request. I sent out a few emails to blogs I wanted to specifically target because of their audience (genre specific). But mostly I just crossed my fingers and hoped I wasn’t throwing a party no one would show up for.
And then… it got crazy.

I promised news on the availability of the first book in the Endure series, Maven, earlier this week, so here I am, back to tell you all about what’s going on.
After a few nibbles from the traditional publishing world (which was pretty exciting and frustrating and well, you know), I’ve decided to take the plunge and go full-bore into self-publishing the series.
So when can you expect this out in the world? Well, after embarking on another round of edits to make sure everything is as tight as it can be, I’ve set a date.
