Antigone’s Wrath – Live, Full Cast Reading

Where do I even start to talk about this? Not only had I never done a live reading before this moment, but I was unveiling the beginning of a brand spankin’ new project that only a few folks have seen.

Was I nervous? You bet.

But I had an amazing cast supporting me. They were incredibly gracious and helpful as I pulled this event together at the last moment. The voices you will hear are:

Originally, Heather Welliver was to play the part of Captain Rachel Sterling, but she found herself incapacitated with a stomach bug the day of the event, and Laura was kind enough (and a bit rabid, lol) to step into the role. The event was met with great success and questions of when this book will be available for mass consumption.

I really wish I had an answer for those questions. I would love to tell you that it’s been sold to a publisher, or that casting for the podcast has begun. But honestly, I have 4 chapters still to edit before I’ll even think of querying it, and I’m hesitant to move forward with a podcast lest it kill the chances AW will ever be published. I would like to make an announcement about the fate of Antigone’s Wrath sometime before 2011 is over, but much of that is out of my hands.

But enough about that, you want to hear the audio from the live reading, yes?

Keep in mind, that since it is live, it isn’t going to be the perfectly polished podcast you may have grown to expect from this feed. Nerves also run high during live events, so expect to hear some stumbles and oopsies.
